We have to types of Frankincense, Olibanum Gum and Coptic Frankincense Maydi. and Myrrh

Our Olibanum Gum or frankinces is 5 grades depending on the colour and the size of it. We sort it as follow:

1. Gum Olibanum ; 1st Grade A ( First Choice, sorted ) with a lovely white/pale white color

2. Gum Olibanum ; 2nd Grade (Pea Size / sorted) Actually the size and dark red in color
3. Gum Olibanum ; 3rd Grade (smaller size) called “ shoto “ and it’s semi-powder
4. Gum Olibanum , 4th grade or called “ marboosh “ un sorted , which means Purity.It is a bulk of Olibanum(each equal to 5-6 or even more from Grade One but with dark color and a bark stick to it).It is very good for Frankincense because it has a lot of oil in spite of its Black color.
5. Gum Olibanum , 5th Grade It is a the bark of Olibanum.

Boswellia Frereana

Boswellia frereana is native to northern Somalia where the locals call it "Maydi" or the king of all frankincense. In the West Boswellia frereana is called "Coptic
Frankincense" as this is the type and grade used by the Coptic Church of Egypt.
80% of Boswellia frereana production is sold to Saudi Arabia and is used as a prestigious chewing gum.
x The Grades of Maydi, are determined by size. Breaking a piece of Grade 1 in half gives you two pieces of grade two.
